Having Fun

What do I mean by Having Fun? Well, let’s see. Gathering together and spending the whole day with each other’s company is fun. Not to mention crashing someone’s gates is fun too.

So that is what happened last Friday, 10th of July. Since the IB kids have gotten their results on Monday – alhamdullillah, the Johor kids were all above 35 scorers – we decided to crash into Shazmin’s home because he will be the first to fly away from Malaysia on the first week of August *insert evil laugh here*. Which also means he won’t be celebrating Eid Ul Fitr in Malaysia this year. Sorry man.

So, I set out from my home at 9.30 to Larkin, by bus. I arrived at around 10.10 in the morning and waited for the rest of the gang to come. There was me, Diyana, Ena, Sharina and Aqilah. All of us came from various parts of Johor. Well, not so various. Just JB, Muar and Pontian. We all waited in Larkin for Farid to pick us up and travel to Ulu Tiram which was where Mr. Shazmin lives.

At around 11.50am, we arrived…or was it after 12? Go figure. Well, we came and immediately became attracted to Shazmin’s vast array of ‘wildlife’ and plantlife. Really. Chickens, ducks, geese, cats (one of which was in danger of being stolen away), hamsters and parakeets. Plus since it was the fruit season and Shazmin’s home had several different fruit trees to choose from…we attacked those that we don’t usually pick off the tree.

The girls…all the girls went off on an excursion to find yummy fruits off fruit trees. The grounds of Shazmin’s home was BIG. Really. There were mangosteen , langsat, pulasan, rambutan, durian (which fortunately was suspiciously devoid of fruits) and was there mangoes? I don’t quite remember. So, after picking off some fruits off the various trees..we head back to homebase for lunch…which was the mainevent for the day. Haha. It was lontong with all its trimmings and really, I ate with a heaped plate…Don’t mess with a hungry, high metabolism kid.

After Friday prayers, Shazmin promised to bring us all to play bowling…which was also greeted with horror by the girls half. What the heck? Play bowling with…Chang, Shazmin and Farid? These guys were good good at bowling. You’re kidding right?

No apparently, after polishing off some cake (Secret Recipe) bought by Shazmin’s ultra-friendly mom we piled up into two separate vehicles and went bowling. Which was excruciatingly embarrassing. Yeah, yeah, the queen of of Gutter Bowling is here. We played two games (Shazmin and Chang won) before traveling back to our respective homes.

I guess this is just a commentary of what happened..ehem…what we did that day. Apart from that of course, there were long discussions of the recent IB results. Who made it, who did not. Who had the likely chance to make it anyway although they did not made it the first time. Which Uni are they going to. When are they going… I guess I got a bit jealous because they were all rearing to go while I haven’t even gone to BTN.

Well…let’s see if I got a good result for my A-levels so that I can be happy alongside these guys and not just happy FOR them. Hehe.

Well…yay for me.
